COLUMBUS, Ohio – In its first month of sports betting, Hollywood Mahoning Valley pulled in $7,470,293 in online wagers from its kiosks, and $1,239,428 at the Barstool sports book on the second floor of the Austintown racino.

Hollywood Mahoning’s combined gross receipts for January were $8,709,721.

Sports betting became legal in Ohio as of Jan. 1. The Ohio Casino Control Commission this week released its revenue report for the inaugural month.

The state received revenue of $205,694,761 from online (or type A) sports wagers statewide for the month. For on-site (or type B) wagering, it received $3,226,581.

The state’s total take for January was $208,921,342.

Fanduel led all online sports books in the state for January, with $494,194,388 in gross receipts. Draftkings was second with 343,9781,125 and BetMGM was third with $82,120,011. Barstool, which is owned by Penn National Gaming (Hollywood Gaming’s parent company), was fourth with $4,895,007.

For on-site gaming, Hard Rock Cincinnati finished first in gross receipts for the month with $4,419,748. Jack Cleveland finished second with $3,500,842 and Hollywood Columbus was third with $3,151,796.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission maintains oversight of online and retail sports betting.

Wagering from kiosks in the state’s bars and restaurants is managed by the Ohio Lottery Commission.
