WARREN, Ohio – The number of houses sold in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in March was down about 2% from a year earlier.
Cumulatively, 364 houses were sold in the three counties in March, compared with 371 in the same month a year earlier, MLS Now, a multiple listing service collecting sales data from the northeastern Ohio region, reported.
That includes 177 houses sold in Mahoning County last month, compared with 178 in March 2025, a 0.6% decrease. In Trumbull County, 139 houses were sold last month, up 3% from 135 a year earlier. In Columbiana County, 48 units were sold in March, down 17.2% from 58 in March 2025.
New listings in March increased 15.3% in Mahoning County, 4% in Trumbull County and 11.2% in Columbiana County.
The total volume of houses sold in March compared with the same period a year earlier was up in Mahoning and Trumbull counties but down in Columbiana County.
In Mahoning County, March sales totaled $38.8 million, up 3.9% from $37.4 million a year earlier. In Trumbull County, total sales were up 10.9%, from $25.5 million in March 2025 to $28.3 million last month. In Columbiana County, dollar volume totaled $7.6 million in March, down 30.4% from $10.9 million a year earlier.
Average sales prices in March were up in Mahoning and Trumbull counties but down in Columbiana County.
The average sale in Mahoning County in March was $219,645, up 4.5% from $210,235 a year earlier. The average sales price in Trumbull County last month was $204,116, a 7.7% increase from March 2025’s $189,596. Columbiana County’s average sales price last month was $159,431, down 15.9% from $189,475 in March 2025.
