WARREN, Ohio – The number of houses sold in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in April was up about 2% from a year earlier.

Cumulatively, 456 houses were sold in the three counties in April, compared with 445 in the same month a year earlier, MLS Now, a multiple listing service collecting sales data from the northeastern Ohio region, reported.

That includes 222 houses sold in Mahoning County in April, compared with 193 in April 2025, a 15% increase. In Trumbull County, 160 houses were sold in April, down 12.1% from 182 a year earlier. In Columbiana County, 74 units were sold in April, up 5.7% from 70 in April 2025.

New listings in April increased 8.5% in Mahoning County, 0.5% in Trumbull County and 6.4% in Columbiana County.

The total volume of houses sold in April compared with the same period a year earlier was up in Mahoning and Columbiana counties but down in Trumbull County.

In Mahoning County, April sales totaled $46.3 million, up 8% from $42.9 million a year earlier. In Trumbull County, total sales were down 7.9%, from $31.9 million in April 2025 to $29.4 million in April 2026. In Columbiana County, dollar volume totaled $13.7 million in April, up 5.7% from $12.9 million a year earlier.

Average sales prices in April were up in Trumbull County, down in Mahoning County and the same as the previous month in Columbiana County.

The average sale in Mahoning County in April was $208,789, down 6.1% from $222,418 a year earlier. The average sales price in Trumbull County in April was $184,017, a 4.8% increase from April 2025’s $175,550. Columbiana County’s average sales price in April was $185,340, compared with $185,396 in April 2025.
