WARREN, Ohio – The number of houses sold in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in July was up 0.6% from a year earlier.
Cumulatively, 491 houses were sold in the three counties in July, compared with 488 in the same month a year earlier, MLS Now, a multiple listing service collecting sales data from the northeastern Ohio region, reported.
That includes 248 houses sold in Mahoning County in July, compared with 235 in July 2025, a 5.5% increase. In Trumbull County, 188 houses were sold in July, up 2.7% from 183 a year earlier. In Columbiana County, 55 units were sold in July, down 21.4% from 70 in July 2025.
New listings in July increased 15.8% in Mahoning County, 7.5% in Trumbull County and 4.1% in Columbiana County.
The total volume of houses sold in July compared with the same period a year earlier was up in Mahoning and Trumbull counties but down in Columbiana County.
In Mahoning County, July sales totaled $64.1 million, up 13.3% from $56.6 million a year earlier. In Trumbull County, total sales were up 13%, from $36.6 million in June 2025 to $41.1 million in July 2026. In Columbiana County, dollar volume totaled $11.5 million in July, down 17.4% from $14 million a year earlier.
Average sales prices in July compared with the same period a year earlier were up in all three counties.
The average sale in Mahoning County in July was $258,804, up 7.3% from $241,112 a year earlier. The average sales price in Trumbull County in July was $220,237, a 10% increase from July 2025’s $200,267. Columbiana County’s average sales price in July was $210,358, up 5.1% from $200,137 in July 2025.
Home sales statewide reached 12,723 in July, marking a 2.5% increase from the 12,411 homes sold in July 2025. The median sales price across Ohio climbed to $285,000, up 3.6% from $275,000 one year earlier.
“Ohio’s summer housing market remains active, creating opportunities for both homebuyers and sellers,” said Mic Gordon, Ohio Realtors president. “Buyers are benefiting from more homes coming to market and greater choice, while sellers continue to see strong demand and rising home values.”
