YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Beth Bigham, northeast Ohio director for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and Sean Logan, managing partner at Sean Logan & Associates, discuss how statewide policy efforts and grassroots engagement are helping drive economic growth and business competitiveness across Ohio.
Bigham explains that the chamber’s mission remains focused on making Ohio “the best place in the country – or the world – to do business,” supported by more than 8,000 member companies representing every sector of the state’s economy.
A key part of that mission is the Ohio Chamber Action Network, a growing initiative designed to help everyday Ohioans stay informed and participate directly in state-level policy discussions. The program delivers daily briefings featuring top business news from around the state and nation, along with opportunities for members to engage through networking events, webinars and key policy alerts.
Logan emphasizes the importance of connecting local priorities with state decision-making, noting that events bringing together chamber members, legislators and community leaders play a critical role in ensuring local concerns are reflected in broader economic policy. “It’s so important to have that grassroots connection to state policy,” he says, highlighting the value of elevating regional needs to Columbus.
With Ohio preparing for a major election year, both leaders expect increased engagement as the chamber mobilizes its network to advocate for policies that support job creation, economic expansion and a business-friendly climate.
