BOARDMAN, Ohio – ICG Hobbies and Games – one of the area’s main hubs for tabletop game buffs – has again expanded, opening its third location at 7394 Market St.

The store already had locations in Sharon, Pa., and Niles.

Opening a store in Boardman makes a lot of sense for the company, according to co-owner Tom Vaughn.

“It is close enough to our existing operations for us to keep things running the way we expect, but it’s also its own market with a really strong and engaged customer base,” he said. “We’ve spent years refining how we run our stores, from inventory to events to staffing, and we’re excited to bring that experience into Boardman.”

Vaughn said each store in the ICG chain operates with a long-term mindset, with the desires of its regular customers at its heart.

“We’re not just opening stores,” he said. “We’re building communities around them.”

The new location, which opened in January, has five employees. It is open seven days a week. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

ICG Hobbies and Games has been serving the local tabletop gaming community for over a decade, starting in 2012. It focuses on trading card games such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and others, along with a growing selection of miniatures, including Warhammer 40K.

“What sets us apart is consistency,” Vaughn noted. “Customers know they can rely on us for product availability, fair pricing and well-run events. We also carry a deep inventory of singles, which is a big part of supporting competitive play.”

The business is owned and operated by Vaughn and his wife, Michalena.

ICG Hobbies and Games’ other locations are at 162 W. State St., Sharon, Pa.; and inside Eastwood Mall in Niles.
