WARREN, Ohio – At the Mahoning Valley Regional Impact Ohio Conference, state and local business leaders gathered to discuss workforce challenges, housing shortages and the area’s recent economic gains.

The event, held in partnership with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, is part of a series of regional forums aimed at connecting policymakers with local stakeholders.

Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, said the Mahoning Valley is experiencing job growth at a pace not seen in decades, driven by projects such as Foxconn, SoftBank and Kimberly-Clark. He noted that economic momentum has created urgent needs in housing, child care and workforce development.

Steve Stivers, president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of aligning regional priorities with the state’s broader economic strategy. He pointed to the chamber’s Blueprint for Ohio’s Economic Future, which outlines six key areas for growth.
