NILES, Ohio – America Makes officials detailed plans for the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense during the Youngstown Business Incubator’s first Advanced Manufacturing User Expo on Tuesday.
The hub will use additive manufacturing to modernize the industrial base, with a focus on aerospace and defense.
Backed by $62 million in state, federal, local and private investment, the initiative is expected to produce $162 million in economic output and create 450 jobs. The funding will support facility renovations and programs in workforce development, commercialization and technology adoption.
