YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense broke ground Thursday on the renovation of YBI’s 107 Building, marking a new step in the region’s efforts to expand its advanced manufacturing sector.
The project will create additional space for companies working in aerospace, defense and other industries, with plans for shared equipment and infrastructure designed to lower the cost of getting started.
Officials say the facility could help attract and grow companies, create new jobs and strengthen the Mahoning Valley’s role in the nation’s aerospace and defense supply chain.
