NILES, Ohio – The Junior Achievement Discovery Center at Eastwood Mall is preparing to introduce thousands of students to careers, financial literacy and workplace skills through immersive, hands-on learning experiences.

In this video, Michele Merkel, Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio president, explains how JA BizTown and JA Finance Park will give students the opportunity to apply classroom lessons in realistic simulations that mirror the world of work and personal finance.

Merkel says the Discovery Center is designed to create lasting benefits not only for students, but for families, employers and the entire region.

By introducing young people to local career opportunities and financial concepts at an earlier age, the center aims to strengthen the future workforce while helping students see a path to building successful careers close to home.
