YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Inspiring Minds Youngstown hosted a community celebration this past weekend at its new facility to mark 10 years of impact and launch its capital campaign.
The Anything’s Possible capital campaign is a community initiative to renovate and develop the space at 2110 South Ave. to better serve Youngstown youths.
Hundreds of community members, students, alumni, local leaders and supporters gathered for the Saturday celebration, which featured music, interactive stations, building tours and a presentation highlighting the program’s growth, vision and legacy.
“IM Youngstown started with a dream to make a positive impact on youth in the city that raised me,” said Simon Arias, Inspiring Minds Youngstown founding board president. “Standing in this space, our new home, and seeing it filled with energy, opportunity and purpose is truly a dream come true.”
Founded in 2015, Inspiring Minds Youngstown has served more than 1,000 students with year-round programming rooted in academic support, college and career readiness, exposure to new experiences, health and wellness and personal development.
The Anything’s Possible capital campaign will allow the organization to complete renovations in phases that support more innovative learning environments, wellness spaces and community resources.
“This building is already alive with possibility, but we’re just getting started,” said Tammye T. Hardin, Inspiring Minds Youngstown program coordinator. “This is about so much more than a building; it’s about creating a safe, positive environment where every child that walks in the door knows that they matter.”
