WARREN, Ohio – Inspiring Minds invested in permanent locations in Warren in 2024 and will do the same in Youngstown this year.

It completed construction of its headquarters in Warren last year. The 24,000-square-foot building houses an education and enrichment space for young people.

“The goal was to create a safe, positive space for our young people” says Deryck Toles, founder and CEO. “When they walk through the doors, we can see the weight come off their shoulders and they can begin defining their own success.”

The building allows Inspiring Minds to provide daily programming to hundreds of students and has a multi-purpose event room for the community.

Inspiring Minds last year made progress on a second location across the street from its headquarters. Construction of the 20,000-square-foot health and wellness center is expected to be completed this year. It will house a weight room, basketball court, cross-training space, a dance and aerobics room, recovery room and wellness café.

This year the Youngstown branch of Inspiring Minds will mark its 10th anniversary as it seeks a permanent location in that city.

Inspiring Minds also has chapters in Philadelphia, New York, Raleigh-Durham, and Dayton, with chapters are in the works in Columbus, Detroit, Las Vegas and Louisiana.

Founded in 2006 in Warren, Inspiring Minds has provided after-school and summer enrichment programming to thousands of young people. It focuses on education, college and career readiness, exposure to new experiences, health and wellness, and personal development.
