YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Inspiring Minds Youngstown will host its annual Masquerade Ball fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center in Campbell.
The Masquerade Ball will celebrate the past 10 years of impact for Inspiring Minds Youngstown, as well as the future of the organization and its students.
“Ten years of impact is an inspiring milestone,” said Tammye T. Hardin, Inspiring Minds Youngstown program coordinator. “We’ve seen IMY scholars who started our program in elementary school graduate high school. Others are starting to graduate from college and start their careers – all while the cycle begins again with the next generation of IMY scholars.”
The Masquerade Ball is Inspiring Minds Youngstown’s largest fundraiser and brings together hundreds of community members, families, organizations and businesses.
The event will feature a dinner buffet; past, present and future presentations; student participation; awards
and recognition; auctions and raffles; merchandise and more.
Founded in 2015, Inspiring Minds Youngstown has served more than 1,000 students with year-round programming rooted in academic support, college and career readiness, exposure to new experiences, health and wellness and personal development.
Earlier this year, Inspiring Minds Youngstown purchased its first permanent facility at 2110 South Ave. in Youngstown. Funds raised at the Masquerade Ball will help the organization renovate and develop the new space to better serve Youngstown youths.
“Our community has played a meaningful role in the impact we’ve been able to make over the past 10 years,” Hardin said. “What better way to say thank you than by gathering together and celebrating the success of our young people.”
