YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – J.M. Verostko Inc. was founded in 1997 by Joe Verostko as a mechanical engineering consulting firm. Joe’s vision was to provide owners, architects and clients with high-quality engineering services tailored to their unique project needs. Through dedication, expertise and a commitment to client satisfaction, Joe steadily grew the company into the respected organization it is today.
Over the years, J.M. Verostko Inc. has expanded its capabilities beyond mechanical engineering and now provides comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and technology systems design services. The firm currently employs 27 professionals and has recently enhanced its technology design offerings with the addition of a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
Today, the firm’s diverse project portfolio includes specialized expertise in K-12 educational facilities throughout Ohio, healthcare facilities, correctional institutions, and a wide range of industrial applications. Building on a strong foundation of success, the company experienced consistent growth last year and is on pace to exceed that performance in 2026.
As part of a planned leadership transition, Joe Verostko has stepped into retirement and transferred the role of President to his brother, Pete Verostko. Pete has been involved with the company since its founding in 1997 and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Prior to assuming the presidency, Pete served as Vice President for 15 years and played a key role in the firm’s growth and success.
Supporting this next generation of leadership, Will Slater has been appointed Vice President of the Mechanical Engineering Division, while Tim Coy has assumed the role of Vice President of the Electrical Division.
Additionally, Adam Bondor has been promoted to board of directors’ secretary position and Mechanical Engineering Department Head.
While leadership responsibilities have evolved, the company’s mission remains unchanged. The goal of this transition is to continue the vision established by Joe Verostko: providing clients with exceptional engineering services, industry expertise, and innovative solutions. This commitment to quality will remain the cornerstone of J.M. Verostko Inc. for years to come.
