YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Jefferson County commissioners on Monday approved an agreement to transfer ownership of the former Eastern Gateway Community College classroom building to Youngstown State University, pending receipt of the deed.

Plus, Youngstown State University reported consecutive fall enrollment increases for the first time in more than a decade and set a new record for fundraising, President Bill Johnson said Monday in his State of the University address.

And John A. List, ranked among the world’s most influential economists, will deliver Youngstown State University’s fall 2025 Paul J. Thomas Lecture in Economics on Oct. 15.
