Jewish Community Council to Host Resource, Community Fair

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation will host Mitzvah Day, a free resource and community fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane.

Participants will have access to community organizations that will offer free services and resources such as blood pressure and carbon monoxide screenings; diabetes and balance risk assessments; prescription assistance; and flu, Covid, Shingrix and pneumonia vaccines. 

Also included will be a free pop-up shop to stock up on necessities. Participants will receive a $5 Giant Eagle gift card.

Mitzvah Day is a Jewish-led day of social action that brings people together to give of their time to make a difference to the local community.
