YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center’s mobile mammography unit will visit locations across northeast Ohio throughout September.

The mobile unit offers the same diagnostic technology available at the Abdu center, including 3D mammography, which provides a more detailed breast examination. It was the first mobile unit in eastern Ohio to make 3D mammography available.

Screening mammograms are typically covered by insurance and do not require a physician’s order. Financial assistance is available for mobile screenings. All mammograms are reviewed by certified radiologists and double-checked with computer-aided detection technology.
