Join YMCA Today for No Joining Fee, 3rd Month Free
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The holidays are here and so are all those high-calorie goodies that pack on pounds. That’s why, as part of the YMCA of Youngstown mission to promote accessibility to fitness and good health, the Y is offering a $0 Joining Fee from Black Friday through Jan. 1, 2020.
And to help new members keep those new year’s resolutions to get fit and healthy, the YMCA is also offering the third month of membership FREE for anyone who joins the Y on Black Friday, as much as a $185 in savings!
Membership enrollment for this Black Friday special starts online at YMCAyo.org Thanksgiving night at 8 p.m. and will continue online and in person at either YMCA location — the Central Y in downtown Youngstown or the Davis Family Y in Boardman — through Black Friday evening.
Membership includes access to both Y locations and nationwide membership to most YMCAs in the country.
“The YMCA is here as a resource for the community, and we’re thrilled to give everyone the opportunity to join the Y, and kickstart their journey to a healthy spirit, mind and body,” said President and CEO Thomas M. Gacse. “Not everyone knows how much we have to offer. We have two incredible facilities, with over 150 free fitness classes and free babysitting, along with a support system of great instructors and members who end up becoming like family. If you’ve been looking for a sign to start a new and exciting journey, this promotion is it.”
No one seeking to join the Y, or participate in its programs, is ever turned away because of inability to pay. The Y’s Annual Campaign is an ongoing fundraising effort that has only one purpose, making it possible to provide financial assistance to individuals, kids and families on a by-need basis to allow them access to programs, activities and facilities at the Y.
For more information, prospective members can stop by the YMCA, call 330 742 4798 or email Tamra Lucas, YMCA membership director.
