Junior Achievement Names Martin Program Director
GIRARD, Ohio – Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley is welcoming Jill Martin as its new program director.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Martin taught economics and U.S. Government at Austintown Fitch High School. She incorporated the JA Economics and JA Company programs into her classes. And her students participate in JA’s signature programs and events: Business Challenge, Financial Starting Points, Business 2020, Get Smart About Credit and Ethics Day.
In 2019, Martin was selected by JA USA as a subject matter expert for its JA’s Economics program. Her expertise in economics, financial literacy and business, and pedagogy significantly enhanced the quality of the program.
She is a graduate of Poland Seminary High School and earned a master degree in educational administration from Youngstown State University.
Martin says her favorite part of the new job is collaborating with school administrators and teachers to help their students realize the importance of making thoughtful financial decisions.
