YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The May 4, 1970, shootings at Kent State University played a pivotal role in the formation of the band Devo, co-founded by Gerald Casale, a student who witnessed the incident. Casale and fellow student John Zabrucky will appear at the Medici Museum of Art in Howland on May 4 for a public discussion on the shootings, their careers and friendship.
Plus, warm weather in March and April has driven early interest in golf across northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Regional course operators, including The Links at Firestone Farms and Reserve Run, report strong turnout and pre-bookings.
