CHAMPION, Ohio – Due to illness among cast members, Kent Trumbull Theatre has canceled the final three performances of its current production, Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
The performances were scheduled for this weekend, April 11-13.
To make up for the cancellations, the theater has added two performances. They will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 25-26.
The box office is contacting ticketholders and will issue refunds if requested, or switch the tickets to one of the added performances.
For information, contact the box office at 330 675 8887 or trumbullboxoffice@kent.edu.
“I understand the inconvenience that this may cause, and I do apologize, but the health and safety of our cast and community are paramount,” Eric Kildow, associate professor and coordinator of the Kent-Trumbull theater program, said in an email to ticket buyers. “I beg your patience while we either get your tickets canceled/refunded or rescheduled for the new show nights.”
He also explained the decision to add performances, saying, “We really believe in this one and don’t want anybody to miss it if we can at all help it.”
Kent-Trumbull Theater is in the Library/Theater building on the campus, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW.
