NILES, Ohio – Branch Sinkule and Trey Simpson discussed progress on the new Kimberly-Clark facility in Trumbull County, highlighting its long-term potential and regional impact.
Sinkule said the project began with early conversations in 2022 and quickly gained momentum due to the site’s strategic advantages, including more than 560 acres of industrial land, proximity to major consumer markets and a strong manufacturing workforce.
Leaders said the scale of the site positions it for future expansion, with plans that could eventually transform the location into a major production hub, or megasite, serving the Northeast and Midwest regions.
Simpson emphasized that the facility will be a modern, highly automated operation, with a focus on building a strong workforce culture centered on safety, ownership and continuous improvement.
The hiring process is already underway, with multiple rounds of interviews focused on candidates who demonstrate accountability and a commitment to growth, while partnerships with contractors, vendors and local organizations have played a key role in keeping construction on schedule.
Officials said the project reflects a collaborative effort across the region and is expected to deliver long-term economic benefits as operations ramp up.
