YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Lake to River Economic Development has appointed six business and community leaders to its advisory board. 

The appointees, representing organizations that have been early supporters of Lake to River’s regional economic development efforts, bring a broad range of corporate and industry experience to the JobsOhio network partner for Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties.

The new advisory board members are:

  • Mark Buchenic, vice president, eastern Ohio, at MS Consultants Inc. He is a Youngstown State University graduate with nearly four decades of experience in civil and environmental engineering. He has overseen major infrastructure projects throughout eastern Ohio and leads MS Consultants’ Youngstown operations.
  • Scott Fleming, president of Aim Transportation Solutions. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and has played a central role in expanding Aim’s national transportation and logistics operations. His leadership includes launching new divisions and driving strategic initiatives, earning Aim recognition as one of Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces.
  • Sam Huston, market president at Huntington Bank. He is a 20-year banking industry veteran and leads Huntington’s Mahoning Valley operations. He contributes broad executive experience from both the financial and manufacturing sectors and actively serves on multiple regional development and business boards.
  • Mark Lamoncha, president and CEO of Humtown Products. He is a nationally recognized leader in additive manufacturing and workforce development. His work in 3D sand printing and industrial innovation has earned Humtown numerous national awards and industry recognition.
  • Don Thomas, president and managing partner of Platz Realty Group. He has held executive leadership roles across global manufacturing, consumer products and real estate sectors. He leads Platz Realty Group and has a proven record of advancing organizational growth and client partnerships.
