WARREN, Ohio – REM Electronics Supply Co., a provider of electronic components and contract manufacturing solutions, was approved for a $50,000 Small Business Grant from JobsOhio.

The funding will support the company’s investment in advanced machinery, expanding its capabilities to meet increasing customer demand while adding three new jobs.

The JobsOhio Small Business Grant is designed to fuel the growth of businesses located in eligible communities or those owned by underrepresented populations. The program supports fixed asset investments, workforce expansion and operational improvements critical to a company’s long-term success.

REM Electronics will use the grant to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, improving efficiency and positioning the company for continued growth.

“This investment allows us to enhance our production capabilities and better serve our customers, many of whom depend on precision and reliability,” said Jan Dyer, president of REM Electronics. “In our industry, technology moves fast. This funding helps us stay ahead of the curve, remain competitive and provide new job opportunities in Warren.”

Lake to River, the JobsOhio regional network partner serving Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties, played a key role in securing the funding.

David Wilaj, director of project management at Lake to River, served as the advocate for REM Electronics, guiding the application process and championing the project to JobsOhio decision-makers.

“Helping small businesses access critical funding is what we do,” Wilaj said. “In this case, we connected REM Electronics with the JobsOhio Small Business Grant, ensuring they have the resources to grow, invest in new equipment and create jobs. This is exactly the type of impact we aim to make in our region.”
