CORTLAND, Ohio – Ohio Living’s Lake Vista was recently purchased by Otterbein SeniorLife for $15.4 million.

The sale was finalized Dec. 31, according to Trumbull County auditor records.

Otterbein SeniorLife is based in Lebanon, Ohio, and had 12 senior life communities and nine senior life neighborhoods, mostly in the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus and Toledo areas, prior to the purchase of Lake Vista.

Previously owned by Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Communities, Lake Vista, 303 N. Mecca St., was under the umbrella of Ohio Living and offers independent living and assisted living options for seniors. The 21.8 acre property includes more than 20 individual dwellings, as well as larger multiple-resident facilities, a rehabilitation and skilled care center, a dining facility, a clubhouse and a gazebo.

According to the Ohio Living website, Lake Vista was one of five communities owned by that organization to receive Best Nursing Home recognition by U.S. News and World Report evaluations in late November 2025. Lake Vista was recognized in the short-term rehabilitation category.
