CANFIELD, Ohio – HBK CPAs & Consultants recently announced that Shlomo Lang has joined HBK Valuation, Litigation & Forensics as principal, based in the firm’s Mid-Atlantic region.
Lang has extensive experience in advising public and private companies, boards of directors, investors and other stakeholders on complex valuation and financial advisory matters across a diverse range of industries and both domestic and international markets.
He specializes in the valuation of businesses, business interests, securities and intangible assets. He advises clients on valuation matters related to financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, strategic planning, bankruptcy and restructuring and shareholder disputes.
Lang’s background includes expertise in business combinations, impairment testing, fresh-start accounting, share-based compensation, the valuation of illiquid securities and fair value measurements under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. He has also participated in national quality review programs focused on valuation matters in audit engagements.

Before joining HBK, Lang held senior valuation and financial consulting roles with global accounting firms and leading financial services organizations. He also served as chief financial officer of a global animation company.
Lang earned an MBA in finance and accounting from Fordham University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Tel Aviv University. He is an accredited senior appraiser and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation credential from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. He is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, New York Chapter, and previously served on the AICPA’s Financial Reporting Executive Committee and Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee.
