Layoffs to Affect 88 Workers at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Crothall Healthcare is laying off 88 employees who work at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
The Pennsylvania-based company sent a letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services serving as an official notice under the Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. The layoffs will take effect June 18.
“We expect this action will be permanent, and we reasonably anticipate that some employees will be hired by the hospital,” the letter states.
Of the 88 hourly and salaried employees, 66 are in housekeeping and 16 are in patient transport.
