YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Maria Stevens, a strategic leadership development consultant with more than 25 years of experience, will host a workforce readiness workshop.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at YBI’s facility at 252 W. Boardman St.

The workshop is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals and will focus on building confidence, communication skills, accountability and professionalism.

Stevens, founder of Stevens Coaching & Consulting, said many emerging professionals have strong technical knowledge needed to obtain a job but still need additional development to thrive in their new role.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to shift from being a student to a professional, manage workplace communication, take action under pressure and build accountability and a network.

The workshop is limited to 30 people. Early-bird registration will end July 31, and the cost is $297. Group rates are available by contacting Stevens.

Sponsorships are available at two levels to help participants cover the cost of the seminar. An emerging talent sponsor costs $1,500 and sponsors 10 participants. A workforce champion sponsor costs $2,500 and sponsors up to 20 participants.
