Learn to Make Maple Syrup Feb. 26
CANFIELD, Ohio – Who doesn’t love fresh maple syrup on their pancakes in the morning? The “Coffee With the Master Gardeners” event on Feb. 26. will teach you how to collect your own sap and follow the process clear to your pancakes or waffles.
The program at Ohio State University’s Mahoning County Extension Office starts at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments, and will continue with an educational program on how to make maple syrup from 10 a.m. to noon.
Program speaker Carolyn Fankhauser, Mahoning County master gardener volunteer, will discuss the maple syrup making process, and will show participants how to use the information at home.
Registration for the event is $15, and includes coffee, a light breakfast, and program handouts.
Registration can be mailed or dropped off at Mahoning County Extension, 490 S. Broad St.
