Linde Hydraulics to Expand in South Carolina

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Linde Hydraulics Corp. has opened a second location and said it would continue investments at its plant in Canfield.

Linde Hydraulics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany-based Linde Hydraulics Gmbh & Co., said the newest location is in Rock Hill, S.C.

“Our shareholders and customers are aligned on the need to provide regional supply of components and systems,” said company president John Kumler. “With this expansion, Linde Hydraulics will be providing the benefit of locally sourced components soon.”

The new building consists of 67,200 square-feet of manufacturing and office space with the potential to expand another 30,000 square feet.

Over the next five years, Kumler said the South Carolina plant expects to hire about 60 employees. Investment would also continue at Linde’s plant on Western Reserve Road in Canfield, Ohio as well, the company noted, and both expansions will help Linde “honor the commitments of its customer base and employees throughout North America.”

The company is a global supplier of hydraulic and electronic drive systems. Founded in 1904, the company is headquartered in Aschaffenburg, Germany and employs 1,400 across six plants in Germany, China, and the United States, as well as subsidiaries in Europe, China, the U.S., and South America.
