VIENNA, Ohio – Litco International Inc., a manufacturer of molded wood pallets and other materials handling products, said it plans to relocate its crating operations to a new, larger facility in Lordstown, effective May 4.
The move expands Litco’s crating division from a 14,000-square-foot space it now occupies in Vienna Township to a 40,000-square-foot building at the Ohio Commerce Park in Lordstown.
“This move is a direct result of the growth we’ve experienced in our crating division,” said Nick Gallo, Litco general manager. “The additional space allows us to scale production, improve workflow efficiency and continue delivering high-quality custom shipping solutions to our customers.”
The company said in a news release that it anticipates adding employees as the new operation ramps up.
Litco’s crating division specializes in designing and manufacturing custom wooden crates engineered to protect products in transit – from standard shipments to large, complex and oversized loads. The company supports customers with specific product requirements, handling conditions and logistics environments.
The new Lordstown facility provides nearly three times the operational space, enabling Litco to expand production capacity, improve material flow and support future growth initiatives.
The increased footprint also enhances the company’s ability to manage high-volume programs and forecast-driven production schedules, the company said.
Litco’s products include Inca-brand Engineered Molded Wood pallets and core plugs, corrugated void fill, custom crates, edge protectors, air bags, corrugated pallets and window shipping protectors. Beyond its product line, Litco partners with customers to design custom load securement and damage-prevention solutions tailored to specific applications and industries.
