NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Lawrence Mercer Manufacturers Coalition is partnering with Pennsylvania College of Technology to offer the Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship program this summer.
The program is free and designed to give recent high school graduates, rising seniors and young adults without clear plans after graduation a start in the manufacturing industry.
Students who enroll will gain hands-on manufacturing skills, earn up to $1,000 during training and secure on-site interviews with regional LMMC member manufacturers.
The program will kick off July 6 and run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It will be held at Mercer County Career Center and BC3@Lawrence.
