YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown has named Patrick Lowry the new president of Saint Joseph the Provider School.

Lowry has dedicated more than 25 years to education, including 22 years at John F. Kennedy High School in Warren, where he served as a teacher, counselor, coach, building leader and union representative.

He also served two years as director of strategic initiative for the Youngstown City School District. Most recently, the Youngstown State University graduate spent 18 years as director of communications and district press secretary for former U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan.

Lowry is a Youngstown native and Ursuline High School graduate. He and his wife, Becky, have three children and eight grandchildren.

“Pat Lowry brings all the right gifts to his work at St. Joseph the Provider School, including a real heart for our city,” Superintendent Steven Jones said. “He’s going to be a tremendous advocate for the school.”

“I am excited to be joining the team at St. Joseph the Provider School,” Lowry said. “I look forward to working with the staff and families of St. Joe’s to provide the services needed to ensure academic success for each and every student. I am also committed in making sure the school continues to serve the needs of Youngstown students for many years to come.”
