BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Aqua Pennsylvania recently announced that Nate Manchin, municipal partnerships director, has been named to the Penn-Northwest Development Corp. Board of Directors.
As a board member, Manchin will support Penn-Northwest’s mission over a three-year term.
“Economic progress is vital to the strength of the communities we call home,” Manchin said. “Penn-Northwest Development Corp. is committed to increasing the prosperity of Mercer County and beyond. Aqua Pennsylvania shares that goal as well by investing in these communities. I am excited to be part of such an important cause.”
Penn-Northwest is a membership-driven economic development organization, charged with providing public financial and technical support for high-impact projects in Mercer County.
“We constantly rely on the expertise provided by our local utility companies to facilitate communication and coordination of projects in Mercer County,” said Rod Wilt, executive director of Penn-Northwest. “Aqua Pennsylvania plays a vital role in our comprehensive economic development strategy, and we look forward to working with Nate for the benefit of our mutual constituents. Penn-Northwest is thrilled to have him join our board of directors.”
Manchin joined Aqua Pennsylvania in May and is based in Pittsburgh. He is responsible for identifying water and wastewater systems that are considering a sale of their assets and can benefit from Aqua Pennsylvania’s core competencies, including infrastructure renewal, water quality, regulatory compliance and capital financing. He has nearly two decades of experience in business integration and business development.
