YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation will welcome former world lightweight boxing champion Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini as the featured speaker for its fifth annual Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center.
The event is free and open to the public. However, registration is required through the DeYor Performing Arts Center website.
A Youngstown native, Mancini became one of boxing’s most recognizable champions and remains connected to the Mahoning Valley. The evening will give the community an opportunity to hear from Mancini as he reflects on his life, career and experiences in and beyond the ring.
The Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation Speaker Series brings notable speakers to the Valley to share their experiences and perspectives with the community. Previous featured speakers have included Elizabeth Smart, Brian Cuban, Wil Haygood and Dave Dravecky.
