HERMITAGE, Pa. – U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick, R-Pa., is calling for bold action and regional unity as Power Northwest launches an effort to drive workforce growth and economic development in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Speaking at the initiative’s launch Tuesday, McCormick described the region as being at a critical turning point, urging leaders to reject what he called the “Four Horsemen of Decline” – cynicism, incrementalism, pettiness and divisiveness – and instead work together across party lines to create opportunity.
He emphasized that the effort is about long-term prosperity for future generations, saying the choices made now will shape the region’s economic future. McCormick also highlighted the importance of responsibility and leadership in maintaining America’s economic strength while positioning northwestern Pennsylvania for growth.
Power Northwest brings together business, civic and community leaders focused on attracting investment, supporting job creation and strengthening the regional workforce pipeline.
