CANFIELD, Ohio – The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center Adult Career Center will host information sessions designed for individuals interested in fall career training programs, financial aid and the enrollment process.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Sessions will be held at 9 a.m. July 15 and at 5 p.m. July 23 at the career center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.
Participants will learn how to apply, tour the MCCTC Adult Career Center and meet with staff who can guide them through program selection and financial aid options.
The entrance exam, a requirement for enrollment, will be offered immediately following the session. Those unable to stay for the exam can schedule it for a later date.
“This session is ideal for anyone considering attending classes in the fall,” said Jodi Glass, student recruiter. “We’ll walk potential students through each step of the process and answer any questions to help them get started.”
MCCTC Adult Career Center offers in-demand workforce training in the following areas:
- Automotive Technology.
- Emergency Medical Technician.
- Firefighter I and II.
- Medical Assistant.
- Medical Office Specialist.
- Veterinary Assistant.
- Welding.
The Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing will relocate to the MCCTC campus, with its program starting this fall.
The expansion will further enhance the adult career center’s health care training offerings and give students access to more resources and collaborative opportunities.
