CANFIELD, Ohio – The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center has received the Ohio Auditor of State Award, which recognizes excellence in financial reporting and accountability.

The award is presented to public entities that meet the highest standards of good financial stewardship. To qualify, schools must file timely financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, with no findings, citations or issues identified in their audit.

“This award is a reflection of the strong financial practices and oversight we have in place at MCCTC. Our goal is always to maintain transparency, accuracy and accountability with public funds,” said Brian Rella, MCCTC treasurer. “It’s an honor to see our work recognized at the state level, and I’m proud of the team effort that made this possible.”

Superintendent John Zehenbauer also expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that strong financial management directly supports student success and program growth at MCCTC.
