CANFIELD, Ohio – The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center and Valley STEM + ME2 Academy will host an open house from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Prospective students and families are invited to tour labs, meet instructors and learn about programs available for the 2026-27 school year. Visitors will be able to walk through all programs, ask questions and explore how hands-on learning prepares students for college, careers and industry credentials.
“Our business and industry partners are asking for more skilled workers, and we are responding,” said John Zehentbauer, MCCTC superintendent. “We’re preparing students not only for today’s workforce, but for future jobs that don’t even exist yet. This open house is the best way for families to see how we’re growing to meet those needs.”

- Valley STEM + ME2 Academy: Accepts incoming ninth and 10th graders.
- MCCTC: Accepts incoming juniors into two-year career programs.
