Medore Joins Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio –The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley recented added Josh Medore to its staff as community relations and engagement coordinator. The position was created to advance CFMV’s various strategic initiatives and serve as an ambassador in the community.
In his new role, Medore is building relationships across the Mahoning Valley, work that puts him in touch with fund holders and the leaders of component funds at the foundation, grant seekers and local organizations that are leading grassroots efforts to make the Valley a better place to live. He also works to boost community awareness of the foundation’s work, as well as the area’s assets and challenges.
“We are thrilled to have Josh join the foundation and our strong team,” said Shari Harrell, president of the Community Foundation. “He has already taken the lead on making connections across the community and supporting many of the current projects we have in progress here at CFMV. We are looking forward to Josh growing in this role and sharing his tremendous talent with our team.”
Before arriving at the foundation, Medore spent seven years at The Business Journal, most recently as special projects editor. A native of Flint, Mich., he graduated from Youngstown State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s in journalism and has since made the Mahoning Valley his home.
