SHARON, Pa. – Mercer County Food Bank is looking for area businesses, organizations and social clubs to help support its mission of providing food to those in need by sponsoring its largest fundraiser, Empty Bowls.
The Empty Bowls fundraising event, which will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. April 3 at the Hickory VFW, is centered around a simple meal of bread and soup. The event will feature handcrafted bowls, soups from local restaurants, a cookie table, live entertainment, a basket raffle – with more than 100 baskets – and a silent auction.
