Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union moved into its new headquarters in Hermitage, Pa., in 2024.

The building at 559 N. Hermitage Road features state-of-the-art technology to support the credit union’s growing membership, says Tammy Calderwood, marketing manager.

The credit union’s financial literacy initiatives will continue this year, with staff volunteering to teach lessons in schools and at nonprofit organizations.

At its new training center, the credit union is partnering with local police to host fraud prevention seminars.

Additional workshops will cover topics such as budgeting, buying a home, and improving one’s credit score.

Among other plans for 2025 are improving member benefits and enhancing technology to boost efficiency and security, Calderwood says.

The credit union is developing programs to help its members become more financially savvy. These include expanding youth services with student accounts and young adult programs.

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union serves Mercer, Crawford, Lawrence and Venango counties in Pennsylvania, and Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties in Ohio.

It operates offices in Hermitage and Sharon, Pa.
