SHARON, Pa. – Mercer County Food Bank is inviting the community to help Stuff the Truck and support those in need in the county.
The food bank’s truck will be parked at County Market, 49 Pine Grove Square, Grove City, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The food bank will accept all nonperishable food items (no glass packaging). The most needed food items include canned proteins, vegetables, fruits, peanut butter, cereal and pasta.
In Mercer County, 15,970 people, including 4,600 children, are considered food insecure, meaning they don’t always know where their next meal will come from, a news release from the food bank states.
“The food bank is thrilled to be welcomed back to Grove City to host Stuff the Truck,” said Rebecca Page, executive director of Mercer County Food Bank. “Every donation brings us one step closer to ensuring no neighbor goes hungry in Mercer County families.”
