YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mercy Health Youngstown LLC bought 37 properties around its St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital campus for $3.2 million, with plans to create more parking.

“Mercy Health is adding new surface parking on land recently purchased near St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital,” a statement from the hospital said. “These updates are designed to improve parking and provide patients and visitors with more convenient access.”

The properties include 22 empty lots on Lexington Avenue, 14 lots and buildings on Parmalee Avenue and one Covington Street lot. One of the buildings, at 602 Parmalee, was owned by Youngstown Medical Developers and housed the Parmalee Medical Complex.

Another building, at 550 Parmalee, the Medical Center Professional Building, was owned by G&K Enterprises, Mahoning County Auditor property records show.
