Mercy Health Names Tursky Market COO, Crawford CFO
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Mercy Health – Youngstown this week announced that Martin Tursky is its new chief operating officer, and Michelle Crawford its new chief financial officer of the Youngstown market.
Crawford has served the Youngstown ministry for 23 years, most recently as chief financial officer for Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Before joining Mercy, she was a senior auditor at Ernst & Young.
In her new role, Crawford will be chief steward of the Youngstown market’s financial assets, including physical plant, construction, real estate and revenue cycle.
As chief operating officer, Tursky will work closely with the Youngstown market leadership team in further growing the ministry’s impact within the Mahoning Valley as well as providing operational oversight and management, according to a release.
Tursky, a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, started his career at Aultman Hospital, Canton, in 1998. While there, he served in a number of leadership roles, including vice president of the Health Center and Support Services, as well as chief information officer.
He also served as CEO at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, and Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. Most recently, he was CEO of McLaren Health Care in central Michigan.
