YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Lawrence Moliterno, president and CEO of Meridian HealthCare, was recently invited to speak at the Treatment Center Investment & Valuation Retreat in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., the leading event for executives in the behavioral health field.

During his presentation titled “Patient Experience – The Future of Healthcare,” Moliterno discussed the changing behavioral health industry, expectations of insurance companies, value-based contracts and how a patient experience focus can impact all of these areas.

“The future of our industry is changing,” Moliterno said. “Gone are the days of treatment-based outcomes, and here to stay are the days of value-based contracts. Insurance providers will be expecting treatment agencies to show long-term care strategies and success with patients on both the behavioral health and primary care side. How do we do that? Through patient experience.”

During his talk, Moliterno highlighted several ways a patient experience focus can positively impact health care:

  • Improved overall patient care.
  • Better results in treatment outcomes.
  • Boosted culture and employee retention.
