YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Meridian HealthCare broke ground Tuesday on a $2 million renovation and pharmacy addition to its Meridian Road facility, aimed at integrating physical and mental health services.
The project will include additional exam and counseling rooms, as well as a full-service pharmacy open to both patients and the general public. Officials say the effort reflects a broader push to improve accessibility and continuity of care.
Half of the funding is provided by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, with the remainder from the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board. Completion is expected in early 2026.
