YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Meridian HealthCare will host its annual health and wellness fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Judge Joseph Donofrio Center, 550 W. Chalmers Ave.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will offer free health screenings, access to resources and activities for children.
Attendees will receive free screenings and information on:
- Cholesterol.
- Blood pressure.
- Diabetes.
- Women’s health.
- Behavioral health.
- Financial resources.
- Housing resources.
A dental van and mammogram van will also be on-site, along with an opportunity to talk to doctors directly.
“This event brings together health professionals and local organizations to give people the tools they need to take control of their health,” said Tarah Lattanzio, site director at the Judge Joseph Donofrio Center. “Between preventive health screenings, information on behavioral health or connecting with resources, everyone can benefit from the event.”
Local organizations participating in the event include Mercy Health, Help Network, Youngstown City Health District, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Alta Head Start, Mahoning County Children Services Board, Direction Home, Thrive and United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
