WARREN, Ohio – In the 1980s, Michael Jackson and Prince were the biggest names in pop music. Their competition could have turned into a rivalry in today’s pop landscape, and that’s what a new show attempts to do.

The two late megastars will go head to head in “Who’s Bad: Michael Jackson vs. Prince,” which will play the Warren Community Amphitheatre on June 21.

The show is part of the 2025 River Rock at The Amp tribute band series. Tickets are $15 in advance at RiverRockAtTheAmp.com and $20 the day of the show.

The show, which represents a new wrinkle in the tribute band universe, is produced by the Who’s Bad: The Michael Jackson Experience team.

Who’s Bad has played the Warren amphitheater and the Robins Theatre multiple times, capturing the music, moves and looks of the King of Pop.

In the June 21 show, performers playing Jackson and Prince will be pitted against each other in a hit-laden spectacle.

The Jackson vs. Prince concert is one of two shows announced Tuesday for this summer’s River Rock lineup.

Wish You Were Here, the renowned Pink Floyd tribute that recreates a concert by the legendary prog rock band, will return to The Amp on Aug. 23. The opening act will be Invincible, a Pat Benatar tribute show.

Wish You Were Here has played Warren many times. The act performs music from all eras of the British supergroup but focuses most on the 1970-1981 period. Its show includes laser lights, vintage videos of the band, sound effects, flying inflatables and psychedelic visuals.

Tickets are $15 in advance at RiverRockAtTheAmp.com and $20 at the door. Children 12 and under will be admitted free with an adult.

The rest of the River Rock lineup will be released April 15, according to a news release.
