BOARDMAN, Ohio – Akron Children’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio have collaborated to bring the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a state-of-the-art mobile care clinic, to communities throughout the Mahoning Valley.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a traveling medical clinic designed to improve access to pediatric primary care services for children in underserved areas in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.

“The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile delivers essential pediatric care directly into neighborhoods where access is limited, working closely with community partners to ensure children receive the health services they need to grow and thrive,” said Brian Dinger, vice president of the primary care network and school based health at Akron Children’s.

The mobile care clinic will provide services including well-child exams, immunizations, health screenings, asthma education and care, sick visits and referrals to medical specialists as needed.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, 6505 Market St.
